Ingredients
380gall-purpose flour
160mlwhole milk 3,5%lukewarm
80gspreadable butterwarm, alternatively margarine
7ginstant yeast
80gsugar
8gvanilla sugar
1pinchsalt
1egg
11goil (neutral, e.g. sunflower oil)
Recipe-Instruction
Heat the whole milk in a bowl/pot to approx. 30 °C and dissolve the yeast in it.
160 ml (⅗ cups) whole milk 3,5%
7 g (1 tbsp) instant yeast
Place the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg and oil in the stand mixer and mix.
80 g (2 tbsp) spreadable butter
80 g (6 tbsp) sugar
8 g (2 tsp) vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 egg
11 g (1 tbsp) oil (neutral, e.g. sunflower oil)
Add the whole milk and yeast mixture and the flour and mix for approx. 3 minutes - first slowly, then at high speed. Start 3 minutes timer here
380 g (3 cups) all-purpose flour
Cover the yeast dough and leave to rest in a warm place for approx. 50 minutes. Start 50 minutes timer here
Place the dough on the work surface and form 3-8 balls, coat with butter and place in a greased loaf tin.
Cover the loaf tin and leave to rise again in a warm place for approx. 30 minutes. Start 30 minutes timer here
Place the brioche in the oven preheated to 200 °C and bake for 30 minutes. Start 30 minutes timer here
Brush the finished bread with a mixture of butter and milk while still hot and leave to cool on a wire rack.
